Another day, another recall

Toyota has recalled almost 50,000 of its most popular models over concerns that the fuel pump may fail, causing the car to stop suddenly.

Obviously this is a significant safety issue and unfortunately for drivers, the parts to fix the pumps won’t be available until June.

The company have said they will be contacting the affected owners with their statement,

“Toyota will contact affected owners in writing with an interim notification advising of this safety recall and will re-contact once parts become available requesting that owners make an appointment at their preferred Toyota dealer for repairs, free of charge”
